bluesource MD, Gavin Camilleri on news of the Award win says – “ we are honoured to receive this award from Microsoft in recognition of our work with WWF and the implementation of EV247 that’s powered by Azure. It is true testament to the developments being made in the business to drive development of our own solutions that optimise our cloud and managed services capability.”
Awards were presented in several categories, with winners chosen from a set of more than 2,300 entrants from 108 different countries worldwide. bluesource was recognised for providing outstanding solutions and services in Cloud Platform: Customer Focus.
The Cloud Platform: Customer Focus Award honours a partner that has driven substantial industry innovation using multiple Microsoft Azure infrastructure workloads and services. The winning nomination had to demonstrate industry-leading innovation, creative use of multiple Azure services, competitive differentiation, and customer value that resulted in a profitable business while showcasing the benefits of using infrastructure services on Microsoft Azure.
“This year’s award winners are among the most innovative and valuable our partner ecosystem has to offer. Therefore, it came as no surprise that bluesource was named among that group as this year’s winner of the 2015 Microsoft Cloud Platform: Customer Focus Award,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corp. “We applaud bluesource on this achievement and for the outstanding value it continues to provide for our mutual customers.”
bluesource was selected for its use of the Azure platform to power bluesource-developed cloud information archiving solution EV247. Using Azure, EV247 uniquely integrates Symantec’s Enterprise Vault with bluesource’s own fully managed service to deliver a full feature archiving capability that differentiates it from other cloud archiving services. Global charity, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) was the first EV247 customer which has provided them with a fully packaged archiving solution that helped the charity move to a predictable cost model, removing investment peaks and freeing up budgets to reinvest in its sustainability projects.
Gavin Camilleri, MD at bluesource explains how EV247 came about: “In this increasingly data driven environment, organisations need to reduce pressure on core systems and find cost effective ways of storing information, without risking compliance. EV247 enabled us to offer WWF-UK an alternative to an on-premises, IT resource intensive archiving solution and replace it with a cloud based managed service model.”
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognise Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year.
