bluesource North America announces that it has been awarded a large contract to move 80,000 users and 90TB of data to Microsoft Office 365 for a North East Healthcare giant.
This Healthcare client is taking a “Cloud First” approach to IT services and with this decision has reviewed its archiving and storage management policies. Tom Lounsbury, Director of Business Development for bluesource North America explains “The move to Office 365 enables them to significantly impact the total cost of ownership of their legacy archive system that was only being used for storage management. Moving to Office 365 helps them to free up hardware and IT resources that will be reallocated to support other business critical initiatives. This is projected to result in substantial savings to the organisation, which can be used in other areas to improve healthcare services to their patients.”
Compliance and data integrity were important considerations for the organisation in their move to the cloud.
Finding a partner that could demonstrate extensive expertise in complex, high volume migrations involving highly sensitive and regulated information so that they could remain compliant was essential. This meant that they needed a company deeply expert in both Microsoft Office 365 and Veritas Enterprise Vault (EV) who could provide a safe pair of hands throughout the duration of the project.
As an established provider bluesource are thrilled to build on their relationship with this long standing Healthcare customer and will also continue to manage a smaller sub-set of the archive platform that will remain on-premises for more complex regulatory reasons.
